Traditional Afternoon Tea Reservations

Please note table bookings are for the full Traditional Afternoon Tea ONLY.

We kindly encourage all guests to arrive at least 5 minutes before their reservation time. We will hold your table for a maximum of 10 minutes after your booking time. After this period, we reserve the right to offer the table to other guests.

Please note that deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable. For reservations requiring desposits, deposits will not be refunded or moved to another date if you fail to attend your reservation or arrive more than 10 minutes late. For all reservations, we require card details to secure your booking. These details are securely kept with a third party called Stripe and will only be charged if the cancellation terms are not met. We ask for 24 hours notice of cancellation or reduction in numbers and reservations that fail to give this notice will  automatically incur a £25pp fee. By making a reservation at The English Rose Cafe you agree to our reservation cancellation terms.

Our Traditional Afternoon Tea is served as a set menu. Drinks included in the set menu cannot be exchanged. If you wish to purchase an alternative drink, such as a hot chocolate, this will incur an additional charge. We are unable to offer refunds, replacements, or amendments in respect of personal taste or individual preference. Reservations made for Traditional Afternoon Tea are specifically for this menu only. If you change your mind upon arrival and choose not to have Traditional Afternoon Tea, your deposit will not be refunded or deducted from your final bill. Please also note that your table may be released if there are other guests waiting to be seated for Traditional Afternoon Tea.

We welcome families and are pleased to offer a Children's Traditional Afternoon Tea for children aged 11 and under. Guests aged 12 and over ordering from the children’s menu will be charged the standard adult price of £38 per person.

As a small family business, we greatly appreciate your support for local independent businesses. To help us continue providing the best experience for all guests, we kindly ask that each seated guest orders a meal. If guests choose to share one meal, a £10 surcharge per person sharing will apply, including the guest for whom the meal was originally intended.
